Wait, Stop the Train! I Want to Get OFF. :)

warden-stopI’m supposed to be finishing the Manifesto that is due tomorrow to keep us on schedule for the big LIFT launch, but I need to take a break to give myself some attention.

That’s really how I’m seeing this blog.  It’s where I give myself the attention I need.  Attention to explore the crazy experiences that are coming along through the process of waking up.

Yes, waking up.  That’s what’s happening here.

I haven’t talked about it publicly that way because it sounds so freakin’ presumptuous.  But, it’s true.  That’s what’s happening.

autumn_scene_2

You know how it is when you see someone every day and they look the same to you from one day to the next, but then you are apart for a week and suddenly the next time you see them, you notice they’ve grown or aged or lost weight or gained weight?

We are a lot like that with ourselves.  It’s hard to tell from one day or month or year to the next how much progress we are making.  And most of us are so focused on how far we have to go that we completely lose sight of how far we’ve come.

Are You Present or Just Here?

mom-and-sonMy daughter turned ten a couple of weeks ago and it was a huge wake-up call for me. Huge. HUGE.  H-U-G-E!!

I’m finally writing about it, partially so I can keep the awakening alive and not slip back into the slumber of constant focus on work that has had me sucked in for the past ten years.

For 10 years, I’ve been busting my butt.  According to my friends and family, I work more hours than anyone else they know.  Of course, they don’t know the same people I know, but it is true, I work a lot.
