What It’s Really Like

Wednesday, December 16th, 2009

jugglingHave I mentioned that I own and operate three businesses?

They are all run with virtual teams (real people who provide real services remotely from their homes) and deliver our services (mostly coaching & training) via phone, the internet and the occasional in person event.

It’s really pretty cool when you think about it.

I can do my businesses from anywhere and the structure of the businesses make it possible for the 12 people on my three teams to work flexibly on their own terms too.

Most of the time the multiple businesses thing works out pretty great.

New Money Map Technology In Creation (Your Vote Needed)

Sunday, December 13th, 2009

tightropeI remember when I built my first business and had absolutely no idea where I was going.  I would blindly put one foot in front of the other without really knowing it would all be okay.  It was the ultimate test of stepping out in faith.

Everyday, I wondered if that would be the day it all fell down around me. Usually the fear was something to do with running out of money. ( I spent years wondering if the next month was the month I would run out.)

Asking the Hard Questions

Sunday, December 6th, 2009

blindfoldConfession time: In the past, I was afraid to ask hard questions because I didn’t want people to think I didn’t trust them. I didn’t want them not to like me.  I didn’t want them to think one thing or another about me.

So, I said yes to things that were not in my best interest. Like the guys who flat out ripped me off for $10,000.

It (and many other things like that) happened because I was operating my business and life in the dark.  It was easier not to ask the hard questions.
