11 years ago today, I was getting ready to walk down the aisle with my now ex-husband.
Yes, we had a Valentine’s Day wedding. (Note for anyone considering it: flowers are really expensive when you get married on V-Day!)
Since our wedding day, we’ve had two kids and been through a VERY rough divorce.
Today, we are once again living together in the same house and co-parenting our kids. This time as great friends. Maybe better friends than we ever were when we were dating or married.

Expensive LIFT Mistakes: Choosing the Wrong Business Name
Sunday, February 14th, 2010
Since I started my series on expensive legal, insurance, financial and tax mistakes and launched my new LIFT Foundation System & Toolkit, I have received emails from several people about their own LIFT mistakes.
I wanted to share this one with you because it’s quite representative of reality AND it goes to show you that even if you have been to law school, you still need to know more than you think you do when it comes to the foundation of your business because your mistakes can cost you multi-thousands of dollars.

Expensive LIFT Mistakes: Paying Too Much in Taxes
Wednesday, February 10th, 2010
I’m back with another expensive LIFT mistake.
I’ve got to make this one kind of quick because it’s been one of those days.
I’m sick, my daughter is sick, I took my son to check out a new school and he wanted me to stay with him the whole time and now I’ve got to run my dog into the vet because he’s got the runs all over my carpet.
Did I happen to mention I am launching a new business tomorrow on top of all this?
Ah, such is life, right? I’ve learned that success comes from how you handle times like these.
