I found it so hard to be present. It physically drained me more than any marathon or 16 hour shift. What I have found is that now that I have created my business, and therefore work quite a lot, I literally crave time with my kids. I still make them wait more than I should while I send that last email, but overall my my moments with them are more joyful. Dey (age 7) and I have a "mommy date" tomorrow that we have both been looking forward to all week. I was not good at being a SAHM for this very reason. I found it so hard to be present. It really is a "god-send" when you feel like you are giving so much and you realize you are just not "giving" what they need. Once you discover the "love" that works for your kids, you can spend a lot more time doing those things like "twittering" or getting out that next email...<br><br>Also, one of my love languages is Touch, so I have trained my kids that when they need something from me and I am working, if they tickle my back or rub my head, after about 1 minute, I am all theirs...
