Where Are All the Memoirs by Powerful Women?
I love to read. It’s my favorite form of escape and has been since I was a wee bit.
When I was 13 I read my very first book about a powerful business leader and I was hooked. It was Iaccoca’s original autobiography.
In the past several months, I’ve found myself back in the biography/memoir genre and noticed an odd pattern … they’ve almost all been about powerful men. I’ve read:

Today Show Redux … the Details You’ve Been Dying to Know
Everyone has asked. “Were you nervous? You didn’t look it, if you were.”
Yes, I was incredibly nervous the morning before I appeared on the Today Show for the first time.
I had gotten into NYC the night before and met Dave at our hotel, Le Parker Meridien. Good hotel, great location, and best price I could find on Hotels.com. ONLY $379/night compared to $600 plus for every other decent place in town.
I’ve Got Haters.
Well, it seems I’ve made it to the big leagues. Among my many 5 star reviews on Amazon, I’ve now got a 1 star review as well. Apparently, someone doesn’t like me.
Ah well.
One of the things I’m learning most through this journey is that not everyone is going to like me and not only is that okay, I welcome the haters.

Is there any truly successful person who isn’t hated by a lot of people?
My next book …
My first book is barely out and I’m already considering my next. Will it be about the division of duties in the home between partners raising children together and the financial, legal and emotional impact of that division? Will I write about the hard work, dedication and perseverance success requires? Or maybe I will write a fiction book and try something altogether brand new.
