A Tribute to Dorit Shapiro … Help Me Raise Money in Dorit’s Memory
It is rare that you meet someone who has the power to touch lives and truly make a difference and that’s exactly what Dorit Shapiro, the President of the Gal to Gal Foundation did at a fundraising event held in her honor on October 2, 2008.
As she stood in front of friends, family and supporters, Dorit, who was diagnosed with stage IV breast cancer two years ago, eloquently shared her personal story as well as her mission to help those like her battling this deadly disease. You can watch Dorit sharing her story here:

October is the National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. I wanted to do something different this month to raise breast cancer awareness and joined Design-her Gals and their Gal to Gal Walk.
Yesterday, they started the 2nd annual Gal to Gal Walk – a virtual walk benefiting the Gal to Gal Foundation, the non-profit organization dedicated to raising funds and awareness for stage IV breast cancer patients and their families.
