Timely. I'm actually cutting out a number of commitments. Spring pruning. Probably would have kept going with them if I hadn't stretched myself so thin with new, bigger, better commitments. Now I'm forced to evaluate what stays and what goes. Great sense of relief to realize I don't HAVE to do it all.

I loved this video. Thank-you for sharing. For me, I find I get greater clarity by following up the “why” question with “What is this in the service of?” The two questions together keep me heart centered and focused on what matters. Sometimes, if I stop with “why”, I can be ensnared by lots of mental chatters and reasoning. But “what is this in the service of?” quickly helps me cut away some of those snares. Anyway, love what you are doing and thankful to have found your site. Keep shining the light. Namaste.

Sean, you are SO right! In most cases, I also find the WHY question to be too much fodder for the monkey mind and almost always move very quickly to some form of WHAT, which tends to breakthrough the insanity rather quickly. In fact, I'd once thought of writing a book called Stop WHYning. I'll have to revisit that one in a future post or video. Thanks for the reminder. Namaste.

Wonderful video, wonderful share…especially appreciate you sharing “Not trying to run away from it.”

I've had a week of what you shared and can recall how such an experience in my past would have cost me months of turmoil. We aren't taught to embrace what doesn't “feel good”, we aren't taught to embrace “negative words” and for many we are taught to embrace words that never really feel true for ourselves as if it will somehow change us.

The beauty of what you shared is how quickly you were able to come back to the present and to embrace what you could do now, not tomorrow, just now.

For me it's about embracing the amount of work it really takes to launch a campaign that will be sustainable and not filled with a series last minutes dramafests…grin. It's uncomfortable taking a new path, it's uncomfortable asking yourself to trust something new…which reminds me of something I love to share “change can be messy” especially when we dismantle old habits, patterns and dependencies.

Still, like you share Alexis finding your way to the present is a big step, remember to breath, I know a reminder of what I'm grateful for in that moment can calm as well…learning what works best for yourself is where the work starts and like you I do love doing the personal work.

Alexis, I like the questions you ask around “Why?” Motivation is so important.
I too have many personal projects on the go. When I'm feeling pulled in multiple directions, I often question whether my “Whys” are Ego Inspired or Eco Inspired (Good For Everyone).
I also revert back to I revert to the Holy Scriptures – Phillipians 4 vs 13 – I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
